Everything is always beginning, never ending.
It’s funny how that hardly has meaning yet it means everything. As i have seeing a lot more of the world recently, ( I mean as my eyes are slowly starting to open up to whats been on front of my face along, i realised a few things. Your time on earth should be worth every last second! You should live it exactly how you want to live, if you’re not happy, then get up and do something about it! It’s these people that want an amazing life but don’t want I do the work to get there. You will succeed and you will be glad you put the effort into life! You should never give up your dream because of someone else, whether it be big or small, Never do it. You’re life should be the thing you put first, allow yourself to be selfish sometimes! You’d be surprised that most people are playing for team ME nowadays. Enjoy life, just don’t forget to actually live it, be creative, daring, go out even if you don’t want to! Just put yourself out there and believe me more will come back to you. Just a short message I had for today (:

We are ALWAYS waiting for the perfect life to come along, and things to be just handed to us.

It almost never happens.

You’re probably working on a job or a project right now and saying “This is boring, let’s just get it over and done with, we’ll make the next one a good one!”

Whatever you’re holding in your hands right now, that’s the one. Make it the best you possibly can.

It may not be great, but at least you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you did the best you possibly could and you may actually learn something from it. And you’re always free to do an alternative that does satisfy your creative needs!

Here i am, posing photos from the pages of my sketchbook of my previous hair project; Now breathe if you’re still with me…

This project allowed us to design and make a garment made from hair, let just say it was a whole lot of fun! (;

This was one of the first pages in my sketchbook, where i was looking at different styles of hair, types of hair, and techniques used to style hair.

Here i was experimenting with the hair and my samples, placing it on the manikin and seeing what looked best and which styles i could develop from this.

In this last photo i had started to develop my final designs. My whole design overall was inspired by the Georgian Era of the 17th century and the over the top hairstyles they used to literally carry on their heads!

ALYSSA’S STYLE:  I’ve never been one for describing my style because it always seems to be changing. As of recently though, I’ve been really enjoying the grunge style!

INSPIRATION: Street style photos I see, especially photos on lookbook.nu, inspire me. If I see something I like, I’ll try to incorporate it into an outfit in one way or another. I love to experiment!

IF YOU COULDN’T BE YOU, WHO WOULD YOU BE? This is a tough question. If I couldn’t be me, I’d probably be my mother. She’s an amazing figurehead and has accomplished so much in her life!

WHAT ASPECT OF FASHION APPEALS TO YOU THE MOST? The aspect of fashion that appeals to me the most is actually the people in it. The people in the fashion community are so kind and supportive! They really do keep edging me on in doing what I love, which is blogging!

STAPLE ITEMS FOR FALL: I think I emphasize this a bit too much, but my staple items for the fall are knit sweaters. I almost have too many, but I can’t get enough of them! Also, chelsea-styled ankle booties have been fabulous this fall.

HOMETOWN GLORY: Edmonton has a wide range of styles! I’m not quite sure if you can say it’s known for its fashion (although some people consider West Edmonton Mall to be the epitome of fashion), but depending on which part of the city you’re in, what you see differs completely! As for its influence on me, a lot of what I see in Edmonton is considerably conservative in comparison to the fashion I see outside the city, so I try to stay away from popular trends here. Instead, I’m usually paying attention to fashion elsewhere.

WISH-LIST: My Christmas wish-list is ridiculously length, but some of the things that I’m lusting after include body chains, graphic leggings, and ridiculously outrageous jewelry!
